The Built Heritage of Amritsar

Gurmeet is one of India’s most renowned conservation architect's, who has been internationally recognised, most notably by UNESCO, for her work. Gurmeet talks about her 20 year engagement with the city of Amritsar to conserve some of it's historic buildings.

Gurmeet Rai

Gurmeet S. Rai is a conservation architect based in New Delhi, India who established CRCI, a conservation consultancy whose works include conservation and for the Gobindgarh Fort in Amritsar and the Grand Trunk Road in Punjab and conservation plans for historic buildings in the Golden temple in Amritsar. Her vast experience in conservation and heritage management has been recognized by the World Monuments Fund in New York.
